Liposuction
Liposuction is a safe and effective body shaping treatment that involves removing adipose tissue from the back, abdomen, thighs, buttocks, calves, hips, knees, arms.
Liposuction is performed to reduce the number of fat cells. After liposuction, it is guaranteed that the removed fat cells will not form in these areas again. It must be emphasized, however, that liposuction is not a method of treating obesity, nor does it affect skin firmness.
Preparation for surgery
Two weeks before the surgery, it is advisable not to take aspirin and other drugs containing acetylsalicylic acid or its derivatives (e.g. metamizole, ketoprofen, ibuprofen, diclofenac etc.), only paracetamol is allowed. It is also recommended to take vitamin C (eg. ascorbic acid+rutoside, Rutinoscorbin). Makeup, contact lenses and nail polish must be removed before surgery.
Effects of the surgery
The first changes in body shape are noticeable quite quickly. However, the swelling absorption and adipose tissue remodeling processes usually last several weeks. The final effect of the treatment is visible after three months. As a result of the procedure: adipose tissue is removed, the circumference is reduced, fat excess is eliminated and the figure is shaped. The final results of the surgery are primarily determined by the patient’s health, initial body weight, body composition, mental state and realistic expectations.
Maintaining a constant weight, avoiding excessive sun exposure, abstinence from alcohol and cigarettes contribute to sustaining the effects of liposuction.
