Rhinoplasty in Wroclaw
A rhinoplasty is most often performed due to functional disorders: congenital or acquired, e.g. nasal septum deviation.
The second group of reasons is associated with aesthetics. Therefore, the nose surgery aims to improve its function or appearance. During the procedure, the shape of the nasal bones and cartilage is improved. Most incisions are made inside the nose, which prevents visible scars.
Patient preparation
Rhinoplasty is performed under local or general anesthesia, depending on the extent of the surgery. The prerequisite for carrying out the procedure is good general health and basic laboratory test results within normal limits. It is advisable not to take aspirin or its derivatives 14 days before the surgery. To reduce bruising, we recommend taking Rutinoscorbin (ascorbic acid+rutoside) for 3 weeks before surgery (2 pills 3 times a day). Before surgery, you should blow your nose thoroughly, remove makeup, contact lenses and nail polish. Abstinence from drinking alcohol and strong coffee a few days before the procedure is recommended. Women should also avoid surgery just before and during menstruation due to the increased risk of bleeding.
Effects of the surgery
The effect of nose surgery can be assessed several months after the procedure. After a rhinoplasty, the following effects are achieved: a straightened nasal septum, the size of the nose proportional to the rest of the face, desirable width and profile of the bridge of the nose, desirable shape of the tip of the nose and/or angle between the nose and upper lip, desirable width of the nostrils and improved breathing function.
