Breast augmentation in Wroclaw
Breast augmentation involves the insertion of silicone breast implant into an implant pocket, which is formed above or below the pectoralis major and designed to improve the shape and size of the breasts.
The type and size of the implant is selected individually, taking into account the anatomical structure of the chest, biological possibilities of tissues and the patient’s expectations.
Preparation for surgery
Two weeks before the surgery, it is advisable not to take aspirin and other drugs containing acetylsalicylic acid or its derivatives (e.g. metamizole, ketoprofen, ibuprofen, diclofenac etc.), only paracetamol is allowed. To reduce bruising, we recommend taking Rutinoscorbin (ascorbic acid+rutoside) for 3 weeks before surgery (2 pills 3 times a day). Makeup, contact lenses and nail polish must be removed before surgery.
Depending on the patient’s health, the physician may also order other additional tests, e.g. ECG, chest X-ray, ultrasound scan or mammography. A chest X-ray is recommended if it has not been performed in the last 12 months. Patients who smoke are advised to stop smoking three weeks before and after surgery, due to the negative effects of smoking on the healing process.
Effects of the surgery
Initial effect of breast augmentation is visible immediately after the procedure. Over time, post-operative edema of the tissues subsides, the tissue structure undergoes reconstruction, the incision lines fade. The final effect of the procedure depends on the general and local condition of the patient and adherence to the recommendations for rehabilitation, wound and scar care. The end result of breast augmentation is breasts enlarged to the expected size, enhanced shape and firmness.
